SIMAP and HMMER applications |

** These applications need manual installation (see below).
Looking for i386 hmmer apps for Windows and Linux? These builds are no longer needed for hmmer. Just let your boinc client download the default
windows or linux application automatically.
However, if you are using a recent version of Boinc and the app_info.xml for anonymous-platform executables (as available below) you will still need to
get the windows/linux i686-hmmer executable manually. See the links below to find it listed.

Special thanks to Lars Bausch for porting the code and compiling the applications for these platforms.
All manually downloaded applications should use the "Anonymous" platform of boinc (Why? See the ). Create the app_info.xml as described in the .
Here is a sample app_info.xml file for Windows on i386 CPUs:
<app_info> <app> <name>simap</name> </app> <file_info> <name>simap_5.10_i386_windows_x86.exe</name> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>simap</app_name> <version_num>510</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>simap_5.10_i386_windows_x86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>hmmer</name> </app> <file_info> <name>hmmer_5.09_windows_intelx86.exe</name> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>hmmer</app_name> <version_num>509</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>hmmer_5.09_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> </app_info>
Due to a bug (-attach_project deletes the contents of projects/$PROJECTNAME) in the boinc core clients from version 4.5 to 5.2 you should upgrade your boinc client to version 5.4.9 or later or use an alternative boinc attachment procedure.
